Hotels
The Sarova Stanley
	This is Kenya’s first ever luxury hotel, opened in 1902. It has hosted Royal Safari’s, groundbreaking business events and has had visits from notable legendaries such as Ernest Hemingway, Ava Gardener and even Edward Prince of Wales. With over 100 years of accommodation experience, it’s probably the best place to stay, located at the centre of the city.
Sarova Panafric
	The Panfric is named after the Pan African Movement, where the quest for Africa’s independence was hosted by future African statesmen and nationalists. It is located five minutes from the Central Business District. It also houses the flame tree restaurant.
The Hilton
	The Hilton is the most central hotel, located at the Central Business District. It is a magnificently built building with a luxurious rooftop swimming pool. It is also within proximity of government offices and 20 minutes from the airport. It hosts a list of restaurants and theme nights.
Hotel Intercontinental
	This Hotel has been in Kenya for over thirty years, and is located near parliament buildings. It is 20-30 minutes from the airport, and not far from the suburban zones of the city. It houses the ‘plantation’ , a 24hour lobby café, an Italian restaurant, an Indian restaurant, a ballroom, a fitness centre complete with a Jacuzzi, steam room and sauna, and of course, a swimming pool.
Serena Hotel
	From the Serena group of hotels is this luxurious five star hotel, located just minutes away from the city centre. It is a quiet sanctuary and a member of one of the leading hotels of the world. It has a fantastic outdoor pool, lush gardens, health club and a Kenyan restaurant offering Kenya’s best cuisines. It offers conference and meeting facilities for the business traveller.
The Panari Hotel
	This is the latest entry into Kenya’s list luxurious five star hotels. It overlooks the Nairobi National Park, has two cinemas, ice skating rinks (the only one of its kind in East and Central Africa), pool, gym, health club and sauna / steam and with endless dining possibilities. It also houses a casino and a night club, Shopping mall and banks.
The Holiday Inn
	It was originally built in 1945, and has been modernised over the years. It is a luxurious hotel, outside the city centre but only some 15 minutes drive. There are special rooms for paraplegics and non-smokers. The hotel is also within the Westlands commercial centre. It has a gift shop, boutique, casino club, fitness club and a restaurant (Gold spur).
The Norfolk Hotel
	The Norfolk opened its doors in 1904, and has since hosted royalties and famous persons such as The Lord Baden Powell, Baroness Karen Von Blixen (writer of Out of Africa) and Theodore Roosevelt. It graces the Lord Delamere terrace and bar, the Ibis restaurant, The Hibiscus lounge and bar, six event and venue conferencing facilities, fully equipped gym and health club.
The Nairobi Safari Club
	The Nairobi Safari Club was established in 1984 as an exclusive members only club but repositioned in 2001 as a fully fledged five star hotel. It is the only all suite hotel in Kenya. It houses a string of gift shops, a laundry mat, business centre and restaurants; Brasserie, safari terrace bar and poolside barbeque. There is also live jazz performance on specific nights. There is also the obvious fitness centre, complete with massage services, sauna and steam baths and outdoor swimming pool.
The Safari Park Hotel
	This was once a British Army offers retreat during the colonial period. It is located some 30 minutes from the airport and about 25 minutes from the city centre. It is a wonderfully serene area, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The architectural design is African inspired. It also has expansive conferencing facilities, African, Chinese, French, Italian, Japanese, Indian and continental cuisines offered. There is live entertainment with a solo piano, 7 piece band and stage performances, Traditional dancing (the famous safari cats), an Expansive set of slot machines in the King Solomon’s mine (state of the art Casino), recreational facilities (golf, swimming, tennis and squash courts).
Windsor Golf Hotel & Country Club
	This is country club, situated at the outskirts of Nairobi. Its main feature is its golfing activities as this hotel has its own expansive golfing holes, holds annual and occasional golf fixtures. It has a health and fitness spa, expansive dinning cuisines and conferencing facilities. There are occasional karaoke nights and kid’s clubs for little golfers. It is a must for the lovers of Golf.
The Grand Regency
	The Grand Regency is probably the most luxurious of all hotels in Nairobi.
